When this item is worn and Player is attuned to it, the +5 Shirt of Groveling gives the Player a +5 bonus to all* Groveling ability checks against creatures of the following types: DM, GM, Storyteller, and Lore Keeper. Succeeding on a Groveling ability check allows a Player Character to avoid the dreaded Perma-Death (or the ever feared TPK on a Critical Success) if the attacking entity of the before mentioned type finds it amusing.
* = This item may not affect said check if the Player (or the Player's Character) has been super annoying for more than 3 game sessions. But, you know... Good luck with that.
